Geoff Keighty expresses your concerns about E3
We are just under a month from The Game Awards, the great event that culminates another year in this industry. However, Geoff Eighty, organizer of this ceremony, is also thinking about what will happen in summer of 2023. We will not only have another edition of Summer Game Fest, but the E3 will return. In this way, Eighty has shared his doubts about his competence.
In a recent interview with Video games. Si, Eighty pointed out that E3 is only a brand presence currently, and what matters is to know who will be supporting this event, and what kind of information is shared. This was what he commented:
We are all interested in seeing what Reed pop does with that brand. We are very focused on the Summer Game Fest, we feel very good with its impulse and what we are doing with all our collaborators. I think E3 is a brand name. And for me, the question is: Who participates? What is the experience? What are they going to do? With luck, we will have more details about this.
It is really an era of year more than anything. In my opinion, people use the E3 brand because we have known it for 20 years, but for me, they are only news of video games that occur in June.
Recall that Eighty was part of E3. However, for a couple of years Summer Game Fest has been carried out, which has not been freed from criticism related to its organization and the type of ads that have been taken in these events. We can only wait and see how these two celebrations will work next year.

Editor's note:
Summer Game Fest is an event that points to fans and all consumers in the environment. For its part, the E3 remains a great meeting point for press and the big companies in the industry. In a perfect world, the two celebrations can live in peace, but it seems that they are destined to compete.
