Horizon Worlds: Facebook strokes his name from the social VR
Facebook feels its name as bad for the VR business? At least the social VR kit meeting point Facebook Horizon was renamed Horizon Worlds . That reports uploadvr.com about the online app for Oculus Quest , whose beta is not accessible from Europe for the time being. The principle of the open world with different meeting places and editor tools for own games and levels is reminiscent of projects such as the successful REC room (to the metaver-special). Similar to the local monetization (or in Dreams), there should also be in Facebook Horizon opportunities to benefit monetary of creativity and diligence in the construction kit (more in the Oculus Blog). Facebook has planned a Creator Fund of ten million dollars, which is supposed to be distributed for competitions to the creators of awarded works.
