Horizon Forbidden West: Sony promises for free update from PS4 to PS5

So now: Sony has steered and assures that buyers of the PS4 version of the upcoming action role-playing game Horizon Forbidden West (from 69.98 € at pre-order) a free update to the Next-Gen version on the PLAYSTATION 5 is allowed. It should not matter if you have the game physically or digital or for which edition you decided. Only a few days ago it still said that buyers of the standard version will not get a possibility to perform a free upgrade.

At the same time, Jim Ryan, President & CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, he realizes that this offer is no longer valid for future first-party games. For upcoming titles, are mentioned as examples the new God of War and Gran Turismo 7, we are charged an upgrade fee of ten dollars. These upgrades are offered for both physical and digital versions. However, it is already pointed out that you need a PS5 console with Disc drive if you want to convert physical PS4 editions using the Upgrade option in digital PS5 versions.
