The GOD WARS team is working on the PS5 game
Kadokawa Games is in talks with a company to develop a PlayStation 5 game, as shown by President Yoshimi Yasuda.
Yasuda talked about negotiations in an interview with twinfinite. He did not share details about who is this business, but revealed that the development team behind God Wars was invited to work on a PS5 game.
The talks would be "still in progress", so it's very early in the process. Yet Kadokawa Games is "very eager to move forward with this project," and this should happen next year when next-generation consoles will begin to arrive at retailers.
The details are rather clear on that, but God Wars is a tactical RPG, and the team behind is very specialized in this kind of gameplay. It seems unlikely that their first PlayStation 5 title offers something different from their roots at the beginning of the next generation.
Kadokawa Games includes several development teams, such as those working on metal max franchise, and it intensifies its efforts focused on the next generation of consoles. It is likely that it signs more agreements with external editors to do more.
The only PS5 game that has been officially announced so far is GODFALL, a looter of the designers of Dellist Counterplay Games and Gearbox Publishing, which was revealed to the Game Awards. According to rumors, a very popular royal battle would be in preparation for the Sony's new generation console.
